STANDARD COVER

  • Primary care: General medicine, pediatrics and nursing care. Podiatry with up to 6 chiropody sessions per year (excluding foot pathology) and psychological support (4 consultations per month, up to 20 per year). Emergency medical care at home. National and international medical transport.
  • Medical and surgical specialties: Specialties recognised by the Official College of Physicians, tests and diagnostic procedures, ambulance service, rehabilitation, and medical, surgical, psychiatric and childbirth care in in-network clinics.
  • Travel assistance (up to 90 days): Up to €35,000 per insured person for medical assistance due to illness or accident anywhere in the world.
  • Preventive care: Medical and gynaecological check-ups and 3 age-based prevention programmes.
  • Second medical opinion: Access internationally renowned specialists for guidance in the event of a serious illness.
  • Telemedicine and video consultations: 24/7 medical support and online prescription services.

  • Reimbursement: Use any medical or surgical service in Spain outside our extensive medical network and receive 80% reimbursement of the cost, subject to the following limits:
    • Prime MedCare: €5,000 in primary care and €15,000 in obstetrics
    • Top MedCare: €50,000, €150,000 or €300,000 depending on your plan
  • Daily hospital cash benefit: Receive up to €60 per day if hospitalized due to illness or accident*, up to a maximum of 120 days. If admitted to an ICU, receive up to €120 per day.

With Generali, there is no maximum renewal age for Expat policies. The maximum age applies at the time of taking out the policy, which must occur before the annual period in which the insured person turns 74.

Health insurance is not required to live in Spain, but it is recommended. However, Spain requires health insurance when applying for residency. No. Expat health insurance is designed for residents in Spain. You must have a NIE to activate the policy, and payments must be made through a Spanish bank account.
